Am trying to undertand - if I understand correctly, the current offerings here will be limited to 1066 mhz memory speed use if I go with the i920 or i940 processors, and no specific limitations on the i965 core. Is there any adantage whatsoever on taking 1600 mhz memory if I go with an oc'd 920 core? does the O/C increase the memory bus? do either of the motherboard offerings have any specific advantages currently, and this new mobo that's coming out 'soon', is there some real advantage to waiting?

I know improvements are always going to come, I'm just trying to make the best purchase decision I can with the funds I have available - and if waiting a month is going to net me a machine that has substantially improved upgrade capability down the line, then I really don't *need* to upgrade sooner...what i need is to make sure the machine I get gives me max performance now and can be maintained for near max performance well into the future (hoping for 7 years out of the next machine, have 5 on the last one! :)

intel says that 920 and 940 are to be used with 1066MHz.

when you OC them they can use upto 1600MHz.

best thing to do is go with a 1333MHz.

you will never notice the difference between 1333 and 1600

the new classified coming out will be a better board due to more space, better components, but if you are on a budget the current EVGA is very good mobo
