Hello from Europe,

I have odd question on you guys and I hope you will not hate me for making a new topic about it.. but I would like to ask about screenshots of those games in you product photographies in terms of low.

Did you contacted the producer of games? Or did you pay anything for that? Or you can just use them without any special things?

Im asking because I myself am photograph and I would like to shoot some product photography, but I dont know if I can use game footage.

Hi Ernie.....  Welcome to the forums.      That's a question that an employee of DS could best answer.   This is a customer forum but Alex and Nav from DS do stop by pretty regular and might help you. 

My guess, totally a guess, is that a royalty is paid to the game manufacturer if the game photo is for promotional purposes.  Maybe not all games, but some.

So companies are ok with using screenshots without any paymanet if it is in a good way, correct?
