I am thinking or purchasing a Custom PC and I am seriously considering Digital Storm. My build is in the $3500 range. Over all I think there is a lot of flexibility that Digital storm is providing for customizing your builds. however I am looking at the PSU options and I see there is a Corsair AX1200i option but no option for other lower wattage platinum series like AX760i or AX860i. I think you should also add the lower wattages platinum PSUs to your list. I know there are other lower wattage PSUs from corsair on the list but they are not platinum series.
The other thing I noticed is that for video cards there is no option to go with non-referenced cards from Gigabyte or MSI etc. The assumption is that most people will go for liquid cooled video card and as such its better to go with reference cards, but if I am not looking for liquid cooled cards then a MSI or a Gigabyte GTX card is a better option than the Nvidia reference card. Under the Fans section there are lots of options but no option for silent fans. Other than these issues I think I have pretty much finalized my build and am waiting for the holiday season to get a little bit of extra discount. |

Hi simmiy... First, I don't work for DS. This is primarily a customer forum and Alex, DS employee, will probably respond whrn he can.
I do agree with you but I also understand that DS has a business model they need to follow meaning getting parts a manufacturer might give them a better price point on. You can special order any of those parts to be used in your build but there is an extra fee for it. Good luck.
Edit. Most here actually aren't looking for liquid cooled cards. MSi, Gigabyte, etc all have reference cards meaning all built to the same standard. They also have the non referrnce with twin coolers, etc. DS will get whatever you want. Hope this helps. Edited by bprat22 - 04 Oct 2013 at 2:24pm |

Nice to see you're interested in DS and looking to get yourself a pretty nice rig with your budget... DS does indeed carry a lot of special version cards, but they primarily use EVGA & ASUS as their vendors on these items. If you click "Expert Mode" when editing your selections, you will see more options for certain items. Also, sometimes DS uses a "performance" GPU in place of standard one - just depends on what they were able to negotiate with the vendor. Note that my system has the SuperClocked versions of the Titan from EVGA which is one of the standard selections DS offers... But as bprat22 & Alex stated, you can request ANY specific part you want.
Good luck and we all can't wait to see your creation!!
