I have never done it but would not hesitate to buy a used Digital Storm computer if it was equipped the way I wanted it and was not very old. One problem with used gaming machines is you don't know how crazy somebody has been over clocking the CPU or GPU. I would hate to buy a used machine and then have to buy a new CPU or GPU six months down the road. So maybe I wouldn't buy a used gaming machine.
