questions: should i upgrade the power supply is is the 800 enough? should i opt for the gtx 680 or should i be fine with the 670? how about cooling? should i upgrade that or use the default Extreme Cooling: H20: Stage 2: Digital Storm Vortex 120mm Radiator Liquid CPU Cooler? should i grab windows 8 or stick with windows 7? i use windows 7 now. should i change the motherboard at all? how about that corsair SSD? anyone use it and have any reviews on it? i currently use an intel 80gig ssd now and it has been great. wondering if i should upgrade the corsair to the intel?

this computer will most likely stay the way it comes for 3 years or so. after that point i usually buy a whole new rig and give my current one away. I dont plan to upgrade it and plan to use it the way it comes out of the box till the day it either dies or i give it away.

my current rig is from DS that i bought almost 3 yrs ago. i have the haf case and i love it so id like to stick with it unless people tell me the other cases are just as good

Hi Godhand456.  That is a real nice build.

The 800W psu is all you need.

Gtx 680 vs gtx 670....  The 680 is about 5-10% better gaming than 670, but is alot more.  I don't think its worth the extra but your decision.

The Sabertooth mobo is one of the better borads and its 5 year warranty as opposed to most others 3 year says it all.  For single video card you could save some money  and go with the LX, especially if you're looking at 3 years and then handing it off.

I don't do much with SSD, but the Intel 520 is considered faster and more reliable by those that have chimed in.

For cooling, the Vortex 120 will be fine, although for stage 2 oc DS might suggest the Vortex 240 which mounts under the top and replaces the HafX top 200mm fan.  Not sure.  Best to ask them.  The 120 mounts against the back wall where the back 140mm fan is.

For tops in reliability and quiet, the Noctua D14 is my pick.  Its huge but leaves little to go wrong.  The small sealed units are popular though and have a good track record.

Don't forget the free t-shirt. Drooling

Hope this helps and good luck. Big%20Smile

Edit... If this is strictly for gaming, you could also save a bunch by going with the 3570k cpu.  It's all gaming needs.

Bprat, in traditional fashion gives solid advice. The CPU requirements of games scale at a MUCH slower peak than GPU requirements.

The Tsh*ts are awesome.

The Corsair drives reportedly fail a lot. I've heard rumors to their improvement but I went with intel myself.
