Purchased Vanguish 7 level 4

I can't speak for the Vanquish 7 level 4, I'm back here at the Vanquish 2 level 4 purchased almost 4 years ago. (4 years?! OMG!) I can speak to the absolute rock solid-ness of the Vanquish Line, the dedication and and true customer service from Digital Storm and the truly knowledgeable / funny / helpful people who hang out here on the forums.

Digital Storm treats all customers like they purchased one of the High End Aventums, going out of their way to make sure (or at least giving their very best) that every customer is happy and satisfied with their purchases. I've said this a few times on these forums over the years: Most computer builders are looking to make a sale. Digital Storm is looking to make a customer. Most of us here are or will be repeat customers simply because the company cares.

As for the machine. It's still doing exactly what I needed it to do when I bought it. Yes, I have upgraded a few bits and bobs because it was necessary to continue to keep up with advancements, but here's the fun part... it was EASY with the help of the folks here and it was possible because of the way DS builds these little tanks. They can take my gorilla mitts inside them, moving pieces around and still runs like a champ. One other computer I owned that I will not name had "proprietary parts".. meaning even if you wanted to change them, you couldn't because other parts wouldn't work, so they made you buy a new machine just for an upgrade. Boo.

I think I have another 2 or 3 years with the V2L4 model.. I would not hesitate an instant to move to another Vanquish model if that's what the budget would allow. However, if "she who must be obeyed" decides to let me splurge, or Alex decides that I'm worth "comping", I would LOVE to get my hands on an Aventum. They are just soooooo damn cool.

Just my thoughts. Again, welcome to the family of DS owners. You're gonna love it.

Best thing about DS is that they use retail parts for most cases, what that means is that you can just look up quality and performance of that part independent of the builder (DS).

For example to know how well a model with a 1070 gtx does, we don't and don't need to ask about the model's performance from an owner, instead we just go to creditable sites like anandtech, techpowerup, guru3d, and simply look up a performance of a 1070 gtx. Or perform of a 8700k.

When I /we buy DS, it is not so much about the parts, it is more about customer service. DS has great customer service, that is why I'm here for a decade with multiple systems, there are many others like me here.

When i buy ram i get corsair, why? Only few companies make their own ram, everyone else puts their name on it and resell it, corsair is a rebrand but i buy it because of great customer service, same with power supply, corsair, evga, etc, don't make their own psu, they are rebrands, but we get those because of great quality and great customer service (for corsair psu only hx and ax models). Gpu is always evga for great customer service.

As you see there is a pattern, most parts are rebrand, what differentiates is customer service.

Now in ssd for example Samsung actually makes their own ssd and is the leader in speed /quality. But for most parts most everything is a rebrand.

When it comes to customer service DS / Alex takes very good care of us.

When it comes to the company that makes the model you are comparing DS to, you couldn't pay me enough to buy from them, they are known for terrible customer service.

Congrats, I also just purchased a Vanquish 7 level 4. Does any know if they will still take 10-15 days for completion or are they already "Prebuilt"? Thank you. super excited cant wait.

Yea I think they ran out on vanquish lvl 4 Pre-Builts. I ordered mine on the 7th and it just went to stage 2 on the 18th and still at stage 2. Guessing they are out of some parts too. Wish I would’ve known, should’ve just ordered a lumos or something only reason I ordered a vanquish was in hopes of getting it before Christmas.

Also let's say they are waiting on psu or gpu, it wouldn't matter if you ordered a lumos or vanquish.

   A whole day to build, test and ship is totally unreasonable.   I’m sure it’s being addressed.        Congrats on the Vanquish order.    Nice rig.

Hey bud, gratz on stage 2. Mine still says stage 1 but I asked for an update from Alex and he told me it was in stage 6 and will ship in 3-4 days. I then got an email from management stating it will be delayed 1-2 weeks because of chassis supplier shipment delayed over holidays. I'm sad.
