This is will be the first gaming PC I ever get, so bear with me if I seem a bit "un-knowledgeable"
Budget: Around $1600, may go slightly higher (Hopefully not above $1800) I have searched through the forums for a little while, but most gaming rigs suggested seem to be greater $2000. Is this the price I am going to have to rise to if I would like a good gaming rig? Are the Expectations: Hoping to find something that can run a variety of games at decent speeds. Typically, I play the following -League of Legends -World of Warcraft -Call of Duty & Battlefield -Team Fortress 2 & Counter Strike Source -Civilization 5 -Minecraft -Super Meat Boy -Tons of Flash Games Usage: -I have dual 1440x900 monitors for multitasking -Typically used for Gaming -Also used for Video and Graphics Editing -Use Sony Vegas, Cinema 4D and AutoCAD (For School) -Wouldn't mind having a larger hard drive for video storage space, -I have heard that SSDs are great for a "main hard drive" while an HDD should be used as a second hard drive for storage. Is the extra price of the SSDs Worth it? Special Needs: Wouldn't minding spending like $80 on aesthetics, I like things that look expensive.
(I have a thing for shiny lights and glass windows)
I am also hoping that the computer will be easily upgradeable. I don't mind shelling out some extra money now if it will save me some in the long run. My current computer sounds like a jet taking off, and it can become quite distracting/disrupting. I have looked at liquid cooling, but it's been said this is not the solution. Do I simply need different/more modern fans? Also, I do not require monitors, soundboard, mouse, microphone, or keyboard. Anyway, I will gladly accept any suggestions from those that are more knowledgeable about gaming rigs.

ok you got those 2 but do you game on both at the same time or on only one? if only one, is that going to be the res this pc is expected to run? if the res is gonna go higher and you want a system that is going to support that, the price is gonna be higher since some of the parts will cost more in order to do that. as for your pc, did just started sounding like that or was it always that loud? |

I only ever game on one Screen at a time.
Typically I will keep skype or youtube open on the other screen And my computer has always been really loud, but probably a bit louder now than it used be. |
