Preface: This discussion does not target or purposefully offend the members or company of Digital Storm. This is a constructive piece that is only meant to help my decision of a purchase.
Hello! I'm quite interested in purchasing an Aventum X model. However, I've seen some very mixed reviews from previous purchasers. Inconsistent order times, unresponsive/unhelpful customer service and frequent breakdowns of computers with light on one side, and super careful and passionately made PC's that hold to a higher standard than any other builder. So, I'll throw down the gauntlet, and ask What are your experiences as customers? Why should I buy from this company? Cheers! |

I have been a Digital Storm customer for over 12 years. I just replaced my first Digital storm system with a new one last month. The old one still games well and only needed a fan replaced in all of those 12 years.
The Forum is one of the nicest places to get suggestions on builds and other issues that come up. Digital Storm technicians are always available to provide support and have been a great help over the years. This is my experience with Digital Storm and I am a very happy customer! |

I joined in 2010 when I got my first DS system. I have since purchased two others. I've had to replace two case fans in all that time. (The oldest one retired after 8 years of flawless service.)
The company and Forum impressed me so much, I am a regular here now. DS has been struggling to overcome the huge challenges of the recent Covid era, and has been faced with extraordinary circumstances from supply problems to Covid protocols to shipper failings. Throughout, they have risen to every challenge with dedication to getting it right the first time, or making it right. They have not batted 1.000, but they will absolutely stay the course until every issue is overcome whatever it takes. They take photos of every system, and have backup readouts of perfect function before any build leaves their facility. If anything fails on arrival, it didn't go out that way. That's why I'm here to answer your challenge, and that's why I'm a loyalist.

Since I am on my first DS system I can not give you a story of all my DS PCs great performance. I have my first from DS and I can speak to why I choose DS this build. I choose DS because for the longest time I can remember many of my gaming buddies, and they are numerous, raving about their DS machines. Many of them purchased more than one from DS over the years. So when it came time to have another PC built, I choose DS.
I can also attest to DS making it right. I ordered the Velox X, waited a couple of months for the build... this was at the early onset of Covid, but all the Covid hinderances were in place. PC arrived and it would not boot up. Long story short, shipping caused the MB to become loose and broke. DS support ran me through trouble shooting and determine it needed to be RMA'd. Received the PC back in a couple of weeks and ever since then it has worked flawlessly. That was over a year ago. I detailed the story in posts, but too lazy to go find it and link it for you. I love my PC and how DS took care of me when I had an issue. |

Unfortunately most people that are satisfied do not post or even become members of the forum, so the postings can be misleading as to the general population of DS users. The members that are here in general have had good experiences with their systems and like to share same and contribute. I will not go into specifics but I only started posting with issues and the response of the members was outstanding (sadly most of those are no longer with us, (bpratt22-tech, DST4ME-tech, Meller-tech, db188-SFF to name a few) while I was waiting for DS support to answer my ticket. The fact that DS maintains a forum for its members (look at other pc builders to see if they have one) regardless of what we post is telling enough about the confidence of your product. Enjoy the tales and do order one, you will not be sorry. ![]() BTW: I have an Aventum II - 2014 and still maxing out games I play (have only had to replace one psu, upgrade the gpus twice, now running an EVGA 3090 Kingpin and the rest is the same) and a Velox (no suffix) - 2015 with no issues at all up to now.
