The AMD build is not only $134 more expensive but it is vastly slower in every way, shape, and form.
Please, do yourself a favor and cross AMD off your list for this point in time. Secondly, do yourself another favor and select a good CPU cooler (Noctua U12P recommended) and the free CPU overclock option. Single biggest increase in performance you can select for your PC, and also the cheapest. With a decent CPU cooler your CPU will run cooler overclocked than a stock CPU with the stock CPU cooler, so heat or stability is not an issue. Example of why AMD is simply not an option at the moment: http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/146?vs=287 And these are just stock clocks, add overclocking into this and it gets overwhelmingly lopsided in Intel's favor really fast. |

Foolish not to go with Intel after seeing that. Question on video cards still. A Radeon video card can be used with an Intel based system, correct? So if there is a Radeon I prefer it will work fine and not give me issues? I have been told that on the AMD end to only go with Radeon. Am I mistaken? |

Nvidia GPUs work fine in both Intel and AMD systems, and ATI/AMD GPUs also work fine in both Intel and AMD systems. Neither work better in one or the other. So you are fine to choose whichever GPU you have your heart set on. Just look up benchmarks from various sources (preferably for games that matter to you), check prices, and pick what looks most appealing for your needs. |
