I have two simple questions prior to ordering.
1) My plan is to have a rig that can be upgraded as time goes, i feel i've accomplished that with the ultra case, 780i and the 750w power supply.
2) Is it worth it to have two hard drives and utilize one of them for the OS only? And does the performance > risk to have them RAID0?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! >

Your configuration looks good. To enable RAID you would need to select two identical HDDs and I would say having the OS (c:\windows) on its own drive or partition is also a good idea.

Wow, that looks pretty close to the build I plan on going with myself. I hope you love it!
When you decided to go with the 780i motherboard, what were your intentions for the future? I saw that it (the mobo) supports PCIe 2.0... are the 9800 series supposed to be 2.0? Will they fit into this motherboard? What other benefits does this motherboard have over the 680i(A1) [beyond the triple SLi as advertised]? Are there benefits to the Operating System tweaking options on Vista-64-bit over say, Windows XP, or Vista-32-bit? |

impyshaz,
Never a bad idea to have two hard drives with one dedicated to the os. If you go with the two drives you listed, raid will not be an option since they are different.

Your rig look great, but the 4GB 800MHz XMS2 RAMs are not good for memory overclocking than the 4GB 800MHz Dominator RAMs.
