Are there plans to bring over the quad channel kits for the x79 platform?   I notice the motherboards and processors have been included in custom builds, but I don't see any of the new memory kits as an option.

Not sure what you mean, the x79 configs come with quad channel, are you talking about the parts section of the site?

I'm confused, the memory that is listed with the X79 is designed to work in quad channel. For example, if you go with 8GB of memory, we're going to fill in four 2GB sticks, etc...

It depends on the configuration.

16GB would be 4GB sticks, which leaves 4 slots free. Don't forget, its a total of eight memory slots now.

Sorry I should have included the announcement I was looking at when I created this thread.   I was referring to the memory released by corsair this week: corsair.com/pressrelease/corsair-announces-full-line-of-quad-channel-dram-kits

Those are more for retail, we purchase our memory kits in large bulk packages. If you want a specific set of sticks, feel free to let us know, we can make a special request for you.
