OK, I am a bit confused on some of the case selection issues, specifically fans. My old CoolerMaster Haf 950, 11 years old from DS, has 2 very large fans on top and left door, (240 mm maybe?) and 2x 120mm fans in front and 1 in rear of case. As I recall, all the fans installed were included with the rig. Checking the Lumos, I see the specs list 3 fans included, but space/setup for 6. Velox shows a total of 9 fan slots, but no listing on how many are actually included....
If I get, for example, a lumos case for my rig, does it have all 6 fan slots with (standard level) fans installed? Or must I purchase a fan upgrade in order to get a fan in each fan slot. Also, when viewing the specs on some of the corsair upgrade options, it specifies 1xfan at the listed price of $199, and on (what the special part of the promotion listed is not exactly explained). Some of the other descriptions have no specification on how many fans are actually included. Am I correct in assuming that if I get a fan upgrade included in either of the cases, all fan slots would be upgraded to the new standard? Sadly this is not clear even if you go through the entire process to checkout and check the configuration list...Example:

Digital Storm Desktop - Config ID 2733515

If you order either case, you will get the minimum number of DS plain black low budget DS fans with only the 1 yr system parts warranty. Not all fan mounts would be used.

With the Corsair LL or ML fan upgrade you will get all case fan positions installed with the selected Corsair RGB fans plus one Corsair Lighting Node Pro control module that syncs all the Corsair Fans.   Then you use Corsairs iCUE software to control the fans and all other Corsair RGB equipped components (cooler, RAM) and any Corsair RGB peripherals (Corsair RGB keyboards or RGB mouse).    That means all the Corsair RGB lights can be set to display the same effects or colors if you wish.

Corsair LL Series fans have a 2 yr Corsair warranty. They are very quiet and produce excellent static pressure and airflow using hydraulic bearings. These fans are equipped with 16 RGB LED in a dual light ring with endless color/patterns.

Corsair ML fans fans have a 5 yr Corsair warranty. They would be the most quiet fans, also have excellent static pressure and airflow using magnetic levitation bearings. ML only has 4 RGB LED in the center hub.

I noted you have not changed coolers. The better performing Corsair H100i 240mm AIO cooler or H115i 280mm AIO cooler both have longer 5 yr warranties, while the DS parts only carry the 1 yr system parts warranty. Those coolers are RGB and would synch with the LL or ML fans.

Thanks for the clarification HB. The config was just for demo purposes to verify the unusual lack of info on the fans, compared to D/S's normal high level of clarity. I'm just not that into the fan lighting thing.
Guess I'll give a call tomorrow to verify how many are actually included in a velox.
