Hello,

So I've had my Aventum 3 for a few months now and I went with the DS stock fans when I bought it. Lately I been thinking about changing the stock fans to Corsair LL Series LL140 RGB 140mm fans. So I was wondering if this would this be hard to do? Would have have to change all the fans to rgb fans or could I just change the 4 fans that are facing me?

Here is an image of my setup if it helps.

Processor: Intel Core i9-7900X (10-Core) 3.30GHz
Motherboard: ASUS PRIME X299-A
System Memory: 32GB DDR4 3000MHz Digital Storm Performance Series
Power Supply: 850W Corsair RM850x (Fully Modular)
Graphics Card(s): 1x GeForce GTX 1080 8GB

If possible would anyone be able to send me a photo of how they have things wired in their Aventum 3 that has corsair rgb fans as well so I can go off that?

Thank you in advance.

Hi Superfly1100,

Congratulations and welcome to DS. That is one Excited machine.
Swap all you want. Just follow the wiring and reverse install AND be careful around that gorgeous hardline plumbing.

Your specs state that you have an GTX 1080 but I see an RTX. Did you change the gpu?

Enjoy.Big%20Smile

Beauty of a rig!

Make good use of your camera as you go sir, so you can refer to pics how the fans were wired and where they were plugged in before you remove them and reinstall the new fans.    Be aware that when you buy a 2 pack of the Corsair LL 140mm RGB fans each will come with one Corsair Lighting Node Pro controller box....and if your build didn’t include a Corsair control box before this, you will need to use at least one Lighting Node Pro to control your fans color scheme...by downloading Corsair iCue software.
Look it all up on Corsairs website, and see the videos they have for how it’s connected up...

Thank you all for your warm welcomes, comments and advice I really appreciate it! I just got done putting in the new fans and I must say I am very pleased with the results. It felt a bit tedious having to take so much off and running the wires through but was well worth it in the end. Note that this is my first time every doing something like this and I am still very new to computer components and things like that but eager to learn more. Added the Lian Li Strimer RGB PSU Cable for a nice touch of some more RGB as well.

As for my GPU its is a RTX 2070 Armor. My fault for the confusion, what happened was I wanted a GTX 1080 and it says that on my receipt that, that is what I got as well but DS called and asked if I wanted to upgrade for no additional cost to the RTX 2070 because the GTX 1080 was back ordered.

Nice job! That rig is awesome! Don't put that near a window or you might have airplanes land in your yard!
