I am waiting on a new DS computer, the special i7 Extreme 2.  I want to be able to install an older hard drive and sound card into this machine, does anyone have experience with this?  I know how to do this, I just need to know if the DS build has anything to watch out for or if there are any other issues.  I probably would be installing the harddrive as a slave.  The Mobo that comes standard with this is an x58m evga.

If the hard drive is IDE you will be out of luck.  Also there are no extra expansion slots on the EVGA Micro X58 motherboard, so your sound card will not fit.  Although on-board sound is great.
