Hi, I was just wondering I am building a computer on here and under the Displays and 3D option there is a monitor "Samsung 24 inch (Widescreen) (Black) (High-Performance Gaming Display) would anyone be so kind to tell me what monitor model that is and if its any good or recommend any other good monitors for gaming. Thanks.

(Pardon me if this is a noob question I am not super computer savvy) Smile

Yeah I was looking at the recommended monitors and none of them really were in my price range or did not interest me.also would you know the model name of the monitor I named. And also would you recommend any of those monitors in that list that would be good for gaming. Thanks for the reply. Ouch

I was just looking at that list again more carefully and saw this LG monitor any comments on it? From what I have read it is pretty good. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824005109

My budget is around 300 - 350 maybe a bit more.

Don't know much about it, I'm not a big monitor guru myself but skyR who posted that thread is, and if he listed it, it must be a good monitor

I love my HP w2408h 24 " monitor that I picked up from Office Max for $350.  It is 1920 X 1200 native and looks great.  It's HDMI and picture quality is outstanding!

DST4ME,

I have played World at War on it 1440 X 900 on the ATI X1600 Pro and it looks great.  I have tried it at 1920 X 1200 Native Resolution and it is spectacular but I can't play much with the current set up because of the frame rate.

I like how the display rotates so that you can be in vertical or horizontal mode.  I also like how it is well counterbalanced so that with a touch of the finger it moves around easier while trying to get it exactly where I want it positioned.

It looks great to me!  It has a glossy finish that makes it seem like a glass CRT.  I just like it and how it looks.  I have never been so happy with a $350 purchase in my life.  I am looking forward to see what it will do with my new GTX 295 that ought to be here by the end of next week.
