So I bought a computer on the 19th of March. I changed my order around on the 26th or so. Since then, about a week or so, my order has still been in the Stage 1 (Processed) for about a week.
Now the guy said it would take an extra 2-3 weeks for the graphics card but I'm just curious about the timeframe digital storm does everything. Like, when they start building and if they give you up to date information. I'd like to know if they do that if possible. Out of curiosity of course. But I'm still very happy I've bought a DS computer and cannot wait for it to come. |

from my own experience, altering your original config may delay the order & chances of confusion/mix-up percentages are higher so double-check that both DS and your config match with a call. your vid card is the big delay factor here it seems - and as I track my rig, fedex has a notice that flooding in some midwest areas will most likely delay some shipments.

Yeah, there are certain graphics cards (GTX295's) which are difficult to find. NVIDIA can't make enough of them to meet demand. Picking those almost always means a slight delay right now. At least, that's what I've been observing.
Once they start actual assembly, it seems to take about 10 business days to get out the door. About half of those days are tied up in testing and quality control checks. If they find something wrong, it runs a few days longer because they replace the bad parts and run the entire testing/QC process again from the start. I hope that answers your question Poland. Congrats on the new system! ![]() |
