Quick question. I have a 20inch monitor that displays at 1680x1050 and a 30inch LED HDTV that displays at 1900x1080. My question is which should I play games on? I know that monitors are always a better choice, however in this case would the HDTV be better since it has a higher resolution? Appreciate the help, thanks!

*Edit, meant 1920x1080 for the HDTV.

It depends. The higher resolution compensates for the larger screen so your not staring at huge pixel blocks.

If the 30" display is a nice far distance, it will be the same gaming experience on the 20" if it was closer to you. Unless the 30" display has a better sound setup and is in your comfy theater room.

It will be easier for the computer to process the 20" LCD, but if you have a high-end system it won't really matter.

The 20 LCD will look a lot better, a lot more pixels per inch than a 30" TV.

Also i was under the impression that TV's have a maximum input limit of 30 hz?

At a close distance the LCD will look better. Further away the difference will be less noticeable. Try watching the TV 1-2 feet away. lol
