Topic: Question about shipping Posted: 05 Sep 2007 at 8:11pm |
Hello everyone. I am interested in purchasing a computer from Digital Storm soon, but I have a question about shipping.
According to the website, it takes around 5-10 days to build the computer...then a couple more while shipping (I live in Southern California). Anyway, I am moving to a new house about 20 miles away late next week (at the soonest). Thus, I am concerned that if I enter my current address, I might be out of this house already. Is there any way I can change my shipping address before it is shipped out in case I have moved already? |

They will ship to an alternate address. Unlike somewhere like Dell, where if you call you get lost in a bureacratic nightmare, chances are if you call DS, the person who answers the phone will be just down the hall from the person who is building your computer.
As I found out today, in order to ship to an address that does not match your billing address for your credit card, they will need to verify the information for fraud prevention purposes. In my case, I did a 3-way call with DS and my credit card company.
It was a very smooth process and Robert was able to get my order put through after confirming I was who I said I was.

67alecto is right, if you want us to ship your system to new shipping address, you have to do same as 67alecto does.
We're located in San Jose(Northern california), the UPS ground shipping is 1-2 business day(s) to your location(Southern California). |

Kenny is right on the ball, plus, if you order with a old address, and end up moving sooner than the system will ship, CALL us, and we will update it for you.

Look's good for a desktop system. What games are you planning to play on it and on what size monitor?

I mostly play Source games...such as Counter Strike: Source, DoD:S, and possibly Team Fortress 2 (when it comes out). I forgot to mention that I already have an 8800GTS 320MB card that I will use. I play on a 37 inch Westinghouse monitor. 1920x1080. The 8800GTS 320 isn't usually recommended for such resolutions, but for what I play, it is perfect.
