If you overclock your digital storm pc, does it void the warranty.

you won't need to use the 9800 GTX between 2 x 295 I think your physx is covered but to answer your question no it won't void warranty.
if you OC it won't void warranty however if something goes wrong and DS comes to the conclusion that it was from your OC, then they won't cover whatever went wrong. |

you can oc a 275 to match a 285 but there is no point, since the difference is like 4 fps.
adding cooling will not void your warranty. |

sorry I thought you said dual sli, for 24" you need dual sli, tri sli is overkill and waste of money.
ram 3GB to 6GB of 1333MHz will do and yes 920 oced is the way to go. |

What would the performance gain be, between tri and dual. And what is the difference between the 2 gb and the regular gtx 275.

you won't notice the performance again for dual sli to Tri sli in 1900 x 1200, once your are at or above 60 fps the difference becomes difficult to tell, the difference between 896MB and 1792MB is sometimes 1 fps, and sometimes no difference.
kinda like imagine its dark enough that you can't see anymore, now if we make the room even darker, you won't notice it, cause you can't see already. Edited by DST4ME - 25 Jul 2009 at 9:44am |

form the benches I have seen, quad sli or tri sli 275/285 with 2x aa you can just about get 60fps, I doubt you will get 60fps with 4x aa.

Wouldn't tri sli be a better investment for future games

truth is best investment is going with only what you need now, and then in say 2 to 3 years, going with a new sli GPUs, the GPUs of the future are gonna be much more powerful, why not drop like $500 in 3 years from now and get the 275 GTX equivalent of then? thats the best way IMO, I'm sure that dual sli GPUs from 3 years from now are gonna beat Tri sli 275 from now.
otherwise plan B is going Tri sli, however keep in mind since the GPUs of future are gonna be much more powerful, in games that don't support sli, the future GPUs will be putting down the spakin big time. what is is back to the future? Edited by DST4ME - 25 Jul 2009 at 12:02pm |

well chaning gpus and ram and HDD has to be one of the easiest thing anybody ever does, if you have never done it, let me tell you, you can teach a 12 yearold that has never worked with a pc before, so you can imagine how easy it is and that you can easily do it yourself with a bit of directions from us.
do you know how to do it? |

to have them do it, you gonn have to pay for shipping and etc, it will cost much less time and money if you do it yourself.
it is very easy, have a look here, you see how easy and quick it is. Edited by DST4ME - 26 Jul 2009 at 2:32am |

NO, when its time to upgrade, buy it from newegg,it will cost much less, then put it in yourself, you are not building anything, you are just adding/changing video card.
if you buy brands like evga, they give you lifetime warranty anyways, so if something goes wrong, instead of sending it to DS, you send it to evga and they send you a new card. |

only in 4870x2's dreams. 1 x 275 pretty much matches the performance of 1 x 4870x2.
