Hi everyone

The HAF 932 rig DS currently has up on their "special deal" page looks like what I am looking for in general but I have a couple of questions.

The 750W power supply looks a little weak for that configuration. Do you folks think it is enough?

I've got 4 cats running around the place.  How bad is the hair pickup going to be with that case?  It would be nice if the fans had filters

Is the Asetek cooler they have any better than one of their air coolers?  And what are the chances of it leaking?

Thanks

easily more then enough power
if it was SLI 295's ud need 1000 + psu

the asetek cooler is more of an entry level, cheap LC system
youd probly  be beter off with a V8

The PSU pretty much revolves around what you plan to do with the rig..

What res are you going to be gaming at and what is your budget like?

As for the cats, no clue.. But the haf has alot of air flowing thru it so it might be some what of an issue if you don't clean out your case ever week or two.

You would be better off going with a v8 cooler over the asetek lc..

Wow look at the response times.. Apparently im to slow lol...

Ive seen people make custom filters, But it restricts the air flow quite a bit...

Apparently you can purchase some.. But it looks like 120mm is the max size..

Check out this custom mod a user here made -

If you go to the "ready to ship in 48 hours" page on the DS site:

and click on the HAF932 system you come to here

which is a pretty nice system for the price.  Unfortunately I would prefer either the V8 or their frostbyte cpu cooling, and I would want at least an 850 watt power supply.  I'm also concerned that the HAF932 case will act like a vacuum cleaner

I'm resonably computer literate though hardly an expert so I've gamed the DS configuration page quite a bit.  I'm afraid I'm a typical engineer and over analyze everything.  In general I was staying at around 3K final price

The computer will be for gaming, MMORPG and FPS, and Media.  Right now I am using a 22" Mitsubishi Diamond Pro CRT.  Supports resolutions up to 2048 x 1546 though I usually play games at 1600 x 1200.

I had actually bought a system from KC Computers back in early December but KC had some problems with the ASUS Rampage motherboard and RAM and then it was lost for three weeks and then found by UPS and delivered in a damaged condition.  So it's about to go back to KC and I have a choice of getting my money back and going elsewhere, having KC build a new one for me, seeing if KC will fix the broken one and refund some of my money and sell me what is now essentially a refurbished system.
