I had a question about the fans in the Vanquish model. From what I can tell, the case is the Corsair Carbide 300R.
I believe this case has a potential of 2 fans in the front, 1 fan on the rear, 2 fans on the top, and 2 fans on the side panel. Now, not sure about the side, because the 300R doesn't have a window (at least I don't think it does), yet the DS Vanquish system has a window to look into the components (which is awesome btw). Is this a custom job on the case or is it simply another model that I didn't find? So I don't know how many fans can be installed on the side. My question is how many fans are installed on the system and where? Are fans installed in all available slots or just some of them? I assume that there is at least a fan on the rear exhaust, because that is pretty basic. I ordered the Level 4, which has liquid cooling. I don't have many fears about how hot the system will get, but was just curious about how many and where the fans are on the case. |

Yep, the Vanquish uses the Corsair 300r case. There are 2 versions with DS using the windowed version. The Vanquish 4 I believe has a single 120mm front fan and a single 120mm rear fan . The cpu cooler mounts to the inside back and uses that rear fan.
Hope this helps. Edited by bprat22 - 01 Nov 2013 at 2:52am |

From Corsair's website. 140mm in front, 120mm in back. Not sure where they mount the radiator for the water cooler - could be the top where there are open fan slots but they also could put it in the back - moving the rear fan to the top? Anyone here have this build to provide better feedback?

Mine has the radiator on the back with no fans on the top.
I assume if you wanted to add fans the easiest way to do it would be to add one on the side panel intake and one on the top exhaust. |
