I need to keep my new machine wireless because it has a tendency to move around the house when "she who must be obeyed" starts to rearrange things. In the configurator we see

"High Speed Network Port (Supports High-Speed Cable / DSL / Network Connections)"

for most machines. I have been using Amazon 'wireless dongles' for the last 8 years on this machine and while they are very well suited for that our family is moving to fiber optic (instead of DSL) and the dongles are limited in speed.

Would one of The Smart Guys® pop in and give me a rundown on the various differences in the "Internet / Network Access" section of the configurator?

Much appreciated, of course.

Wait.. nevermind.. I see hat the ASUS ROG Strix Z690 mobo comes with "WiFi6 (802.11ax)" capability which precludes needing any type of wireless dongle, adaptor or card.

Even better.

Dang!

Now it is too late for these folks. "Would one of The Smart Guys® pop in and give me a rundown on the various differences in the "Internet / Network Access" section of the configurator?"

Oh you just KNOW that's going to be my first post after I get the machine unboxed, right? .... LOL...

And of course, be sure to get a WiFi 6 router. I've tried Eero, Orbi, and Velop. They were all pretty good, but I think Eero was slightly more reliable.
