Or anyone else, lol. So have ditched my SLi set up and my father has the same set up as me but with the XFX motherboard and the Corsair VX 550W PSU.Is it enough to power the 8800GTS 512mb in SLi? Not planning on overclocking or anything just bone stock.

specs are

XFX 680i motherboard
Sound Blaster Live
4 Gig corsair memory@667
2 Hard drives
2 Rom drives
Corsair VX 550W PSU 1 12v rail@41amps

Any help would be great
Just trying to save him some bucks
My misfortune hopefully can help him out.

It's pushing it to be honest...

You can try, but, if you have problems, you know it could be the PSU.

Alex, I got it all together and then the box wouldnt boot at all. I wound up calling you guys and talked with Jason i believe.I was getting some NTDLR missing error on boot up .Jason helped me the best he could but still didnt get it figured out.He said he'd have a tech call me back which he never did,lol !!!!  Anyway the error was my fault,i had the sata cables to the drives reversed,Whooooops !! Anyway the box runs mint. Its pretty stable and the temps are right at 51c idle and 59c load. The cards run within 1c of each other.i played COD5 for an hour with no problems.Im sure its pushing the PSU to its limits but i think it'll be O.K.It SLi actually runs better on his box than mine. Thanks for the quick reply Alex.
