My preferred HAF-X case is no longer offered as an option for the Hailstorm II model, or for any other models for that matter.   I can always special order the HAF-X case, so no worries there.

The Noctua is still available as a cooling option.  So that is good. 

My question:  Is the Hailstorm case now the preferred case for air cooling? Or could Digital Storm have something else up its sleeve for air cooling?

Good question - it does seem to be gone. Maybe they ran out due to high volume of holiday orders?

I ordered mine with the HAF X a few weeks ago. It has been sitting at stage 5 for over a week now. I was wondering why it needed over a week of stress testing, and whether I could get some money off because after all that stress it should count as a used computer <chuckles>.

Maybe they stripped the case out for a higher priority order and the components are floating in the air stressed to the nines waiting for a new case. That would stress me out too!

((doesn't really believe that but after a lifetime of reading fantasy and science fiction nothing seems totally impossible))

Probably just OOS and backordered so they removed it until they come back in... As popular as that case is, I can't image them not carrying it anymore - even if they have a new case lined up...

Might not be as popular as before, not sure, but still unmatched for non water cooled systems. Especially if one wants a multiple ACX gpu cooled setup.

Hopefully just a supply issue. If not, then times they are changing.

Let the record show that Digital Storm resolved this issue in LESS THAN 24 HOURS, in a way that positively affected the Digital Storm community.

I'm impressed. (And I hope to order my HAF-X soon …)
