I am new to the Digital Storm world. I will be purchasing a system shortly.

Initially when looking at the different cooling notions I wanted the LCLC Asetek with the 120m radiator. After reading several comments on this forum and asking input from people who are familiar with the Asetek, I have decided to go with an air cooling option (the Nocuta Dual 120).

It appears to me based on the comments I have read the Aseteck LCLC (or any LCLC option is not good).

Is this true? Is it just the Asetek that is not any good? I have read on other sites thhat the Corsair H50 is a better LCLC than the Asetek. To me they look exactly the same. I assume the manf builds both units and it is just re-branded. I have read the Corsair is better (it has been beefed up and performs very well). The Corsair site really promotes how well it works.

http://www.corsair.com/products/h50/default.aspx

See the vidro tab, then the TweakTown visited Corsair at Computex and got a bit of hands-on exclusive with the product video.

I realize neither are real LCs but for a basic config with mild over-clocking wouldn't these products work ok? Not to mention how neat they look in a system. Which is what really attracted me to the option.

It has been mentioned that the Asetek leaks. Why on earth would DS sell something that has a know problem?

My questions are:
1. If the Asetek product is so bad, why does DS even offer it as an option? When I called DS even the sales rep said it was not a good selection.

2. If the Corsair H50 is a better product why doesn't DS sell it instead?

3. Is the Corsair H50 really a better product?

I understand overall that air cooling is all one needs for the basic configuration but the Asetek/Corsair  LCLC option sure makes for a neat build.

Any comments are welcomed and appreciated.

Thank you.

H50 and Asetek same exact product, go air cooling, or custom water, but IMHO stay away from them.

Noctua d14 will give you better temps, go with it.

asetek is for budget people, its cheap and there is a reason for it.
