when I run a single card in a game... it will heat up to 64c. When I run both of them, it goes up to 80c max. Is this over heating?
Thanks for the insight!! |

The 80c is fine. I don't remember your case or if you mentioned the 780s were reference single fan or dual fan ACX. Both cards being stressed might be putting a bit more heat into the case and the cards are picking some up, but I'm just speculating.
It's good to go. |

Don't worry, that's pretty normal. Having a second GPU will definitely throw some heat into the chassis which the other card will blow into it's own heatsink which in turn, makes them hotter.

If youre that concerned with temps and longevity of your hardware, it might be a good idea to invest in some better GPU cooling.

Hi Clay, you can run at those temps all day. Stability is just find and longevity is the luck of the draw with the card. Like redsoxfanatic said, if you want to, add cooling, one way is to add a case fan or two to blow across the cards. I personally like temps in the 70s but not always possible or needed.
Enjoy. Edited by bprat22 - 06 Aug 2014 at 2:39am |

Thanks... I dont run the computer at this temp for no more than 45-1hr (playing Ghost or BFG). After 30 minutes, I put it to sleep anyways. Thanks for the input guys! I kinda figure it was no biggie, but just wanted to check!!
