My order was on stage 4 for about 10 business days (not a problem) I contacted them to see if there was a delay in the process or if this was standard protocol. They mentioned they were waiting on GPU and CPU waterblocks for the build and there would be a 2 week delay (not a problem)
After the chat ended, I immediately received an order update email stating my order had moved to Stage 5 "Stress Testing and Benchmarking" so should I assume they randomly found a cpu/gpu waterblock for the build and is actually in stage 5, or they updated the order to stage 5 to show there is progress on the order, but its still in stage 4? either way I dont mind. I just found it curious there was a 2 week delay, and then the order was updated. I also did try reaching out to Alex with no response. but I know they're busy. thanks! |

My new build took almost a month before I got it. And it works just fine.

My guess is that the people you called to ask about why the hang up in stage 4, check the status on a PC, possibly not knowing that the parts that held your build up had come in and were installed. THEN, the status gets updated by the build tech and you get the status update email. Had you called a little bit later, the support staff that answers calls could have seen the "updated status" on their PC. Just a guess, but makes sense to me.
DS isn't going to put false info in there just to satisfy a customer. All PCs being built are in a que, so yours, like others wait their turn in the process. Stress testing normally takes a day once it is started, then on to packaging and shipping, but like I said, you are in a que along with the other PCs being built. That makes sense. I assumed CS just changes the status when they get updates. |

Yeah, they do but sometimes it lags. It's an area that I think needs some improvement.
