I am having a hard time deciding between getting a computer with a QX6850 cpu with a 8800 ultra or getting a Q6600 with 8800 ultra sli.
I know which ever one i pick  it will be amazing but just wondering which one will be full proof for the future, or if one has the edge over the other one.

Please help im going crazy over this!!Wacko

To best future proof your rig, go with the biggest CPU you can NOW.  Video cards will come and go and can be upgraded later.

So, I say go with the 6850 and just get the one ultra now.  You can always tweak up the card(s).
