So I have the x15 Laptop from about a year ago, I have the gtx670M graphics card, and I was wondering is there any way to run three monitors on extended desktop with this laptop? Doing programming work is torture trying to fit 4 or 5 applications on one 15.6 screen, as awesome as it is haha, I can definitly do 1 other screen with the HDMI port, but there is a strange port next to it... wondering how I might go about 3 screens if its possible, thanks to anyone!

i have 3 screened a Macbook pro including the labtop screen. Not for gaming of course but for other work i was doing. So im sure its possible. I did it using a DVI splitter cable. So one cable coming from the labtop splitting to two monitor dvi cables.

Quick question, alot of the things i read talked about with a DVI splitter, you just get identical screens, would it be possible with that to get a three way extended desktop?

well my macbook has the dvi which i split to two other monitors, but it also has a vga hook up... so mabe that way you can run 3 separate monitors.
also with that set up i used to use, it was not all idenical screens, every screen i could use like a tri monitor setup on a desktop. Edited by Solidus1833 - 01 Apr 2013 at 1:09pm |

Just happened to see the Kensington Universal Multi Display Adapter for $60 on Amazon. Your laptop port for one monitor and one of these for each additional screen you want. I think it works thru usb ports.
Never used it but check it out.

If you use them, would love to know if it works like you want. Might help others with your feedback.
Good luck. |
