I recently ordered a PC from digitalstorm and as i always do....i rush....i just have a question, i got an AMD Dual Core processor at 2.8 GHZ, after the overclock, along with 2x 8800GTX graphics cards and 2 Gigs of RAM this should be an amazing rig am i wrong? Am i losing alot of power using AMD and not intel?

Yep, you're losing performance by choosing AMD over Intel. Intel dominates AMD in performance, price, and overclocking at the moment.

Even the lower-end CPUs from Intel can compete/beat AMD's high high-end CPUs.

well according to sales rep its too late to change platform...so looks like im in a bit of a whole, ill have to upgrade when i can afford it, probably around christmas or later....

 Remember that you're going to have to switch your whole motherboard out; AMD and Intel use different CPU sockets.

^ Was just about to say that. I think you should just OC it and stick with it until AMD releases their new line of CPUs in 2008 and see how those match up to Intel.

Yea BUT i have dealt with AMD in the past and over clocked them and they have cooked on me even with the proper cooling needed, but anyway yea you should have went with Intel but as far as your AMD goes i recommend that you over clock it like skyR said
