Hello all,
I have acouple questions.
1) Will multiple re-formats cause my hard drive to become unstable?(I've had to re-format about 4-5 times over the past year due to viruses) It seems now when trying to accsess the drive it locks up occasionally. I've run a disk check at boot up with no errors.
 
2) I got a computer from my dad about a year ago and he had it set up to dual boot. (Xp, Vista or Vista recovered) I hardly use vista and want get rid of the duel boot but when I try to reinstall Xp it goes through the frist stages of install and then blue screens. Is there an easy way to get rid of the duel boot?

re-formatting a stadard drive, will take a bit of life away, but I re-format some of mine 4-5 times a day, lol so don;t worry about that.
 
if you re-format the drive, make sure you clear it of all the partitions, and XP should install fine.
