I'm looking at ordering an ODE 4 in the next few days and wanted to ask a quick question to just make sure it's right for me. I have been gaming at a lower res for a while now and wanted to make sure that it would be able to handle a 2 monitor set up running at 2560 x 1440 on maxed out settings in things like BF3. I don't think it would be a problem, but I will be the first one to tell you I don't know much about what it takes to push out performance at that high of a resolution.
Thanks, Neens. |

The current ODE 4 runs a Crossfire 7970 setup, the reason that is is because the engineers and designers at Digital Storm believe it to be the most powerful dual-card setup at the moment. From reviews I've been reading, one 7970 at that resolution can run BF3 at around 50 fps. Sadly the card scaling is only hitting around 50-60% average at the moment, but many (myself included) believe that it will only get better with time as the drivers for these monsters mature.
Another side note, is I THINK that the motherboard in the ODE 4 will also support the future Ivy Bridge CPU's due to release in April-May. Again, not sure, would have to ask someone from DS. But if so, would just be another plus for the system should you happen to want it. Hope this helps! Lemme know if ya got any other questions. |
