Hey all, I had a quick question. The OC I got was set at 3.9. I open up realtemp and i see 3917 mhz which seems to prove that.

But if I right click "My Computer" and go to properties and such, it says it's at 3.7 something and when I open up a game I play, in console it says 8 cpus which i'm guessing is hyper threading, running at 3.7 something.

I'm confused.

I've noticed hardly anything will ever read the processor speed correctly. RealTemp and CPU-Z will though. If you want to calculate it for yourself open CPU-Z and look at these two tabs.

To calculate the processor speed multiply the Bus Speed by the Multiplier, but also note that the Bus Speed is usually reported .5 less than what it really is. For instance mine is an even 200 but always shows up at 199.5. So 200 x 21 = 4,200, or 4.2GHz. To get the memory speed look where it says FSB:DRAM, the second number is the multiplier, the 8. The memory multiplier times the Bus Speed again, in my case 8 x 200 = 1,600, meaning my memory is currently running at 1,600MHz.
