Ok so i've got an itchy trigger figer so to speak in terms of ordering a prebuild extreme 3 computer, however my only concern is with liquid cooling. I like to consider myself pretty knowledgable in terms of computer hardware, except when it comes to liquid cooling i have literally no experience, i've heard horror stories about the astek liquid cooling lifespan, and i have no idea what type of maintinence is involved in mainting that liquid cooler, anybody with any experience with it please help me out :)

asetek is not the same as real liquid cooling like frostbite. I personally don't like it cause it has not been around long enough so we can see how long it does last. I have seen some bad reviews on it also. However it does have the 3 year warranty from DS so you are covered for that much. personally I prefer the Noctua NH-U12P over asetek, but thats just me.

I don't believe you are suppose to touch asetek's liquid and such.

I was the same way man, my suggestion is go with it and then take the time to learn about it and the maint involved with it. If your like me your heard the stories about lq when it first hit the market...and I kept all the thoughts I had about it back then for years before I decided to take the plunge. Its really not so bad anymore!Ouch Plus the cost has gone down a lot. But yeah man def take the time to read up on it!
