First off I just got my system today! HURRAY!

However, I had some quick questions about the SLI GPU setup. in the system.]

First off when I unpackaged this sucker, I noticed there was all this EVGA wiring that came in the box with the system. This kind of threw me off. I was wondering if I needed to do some extra connections and configuring to make the SLI work.

Is this the case or not? I would hate to not have two GPU cards not hooked up correctly and not get the SLI performance. I assume it is fully hooked up out of the box, but when I saw all that wiring I was a bit puzzled as to why it was there.

The second thing I was wondering is in regards to how you hook this thing up a monitor correctly. I've never owned a SLI setup system so I wasn't sure if it was like a regular system where you just hooked the monitor cable up to any card you wanted and you are good. Since there are two graphics cards on the system I wasn't sure if this was how it worked or if you needed to do something else. As with the previous question, I assume it works in the obvious fashion, but I figured it would be a good idea to inquire first, just to be sure.

It should be setup, you get all the extra stuff your parts come with.

you connect the monitor to the top card (gpu1) left port.

Dude, I am gonna say this again.

IF you are not being paid by the DS people, you friggin should be and you should be PAID WELL, at that,

You are the man buddy! Thanks for the speedy reply.

Oh and one more thing, that system you have is ........ INSANE .......... I mean, it is a thing of beauty.

I imagine it probably need a private nuclear reactor to run it, but my GOD, I bow down before it.

Oh yeah can I ask another question please!

I finally got my system setup and I was wondering about something. How do you acess the CD-RW and DVD-RW capabilities of the drive installed? Does the system come with special software for this or do you have to install your own?

Its built in to windows that you can add files to a cd but to make it bookable or burn a iso or anything more complex there are a lot of free internet alternatives.

one thing to add. right click on the desktop and hit nvidia control panel. On that screen the box that says Maximize 3d performance should be selected. I mention this because ive noticed the last few times ive done driver updates this is set to off right after a fresh install/update of drivers.
