I'm thinking about getting the black ops hailstorm with level 6 water cooling for CPU, chipset, and 1 video card. I've seen from the pictures on here that the smaller radiator is hung out the back of the case with fans attached to it. Would getting the noise canceling package with this setup be redundant since you have fans actually outside the case?

Another thing is that I really like the white-fan-in-black-shroud scheme the protus has. Would it cost more money to have all the (visible) fans in the case replaced with the white fan/black shroud fans? If I order it as normal, then replace the stock fans myself, would it void the warranty? Also would it void the warranty if I added nzxt white cable extensions?

Noise canceling package would be redundant, and like a lot of people say, it'll also turn your case into a thermos. LoL.

You can ask to have the visible fans custom painted, would cost more though. Gonna have to message DS to figure out exactly how much. You can replace the stock fans, yeah, do whatever you want to upgrade/swap out parts, won't void the warranty ;D. I think as long as you don't screw up a part, and try to RMA it, then anything you do is fine (rest of sys will still be under warranty, obviously, warranty doesn't extend to your own parts).

Oh cool, thank God. I'll just order the nzxt fans (which are the white and black) along with the extensions.

I'll have to get DS to customize the memory fan to black frame and white fans to complete the package. There's no way I'd do that myself.

Cool sig btw.

you know, you can SEND them the fans....and they'll be happy to stick em in....OR, you can tell DS to order it themselves. :D

sound deadening material should not raise internal temps. Digital Storm uses very thin acoustical treatments, I have tried them, and also used 2" thick stuff that would be used in a recording studio, and with neither one did I see any temp changes.
The fans pull air in, and exhaust air out, there is little to no heat exchange through the case panel itself.. I could see it i if there where no fans at all, and the case was made of aluminum, and all of the heat transfer was based on the case panels themselves. but this is not the case here.
If the sound deadening material did increase the temps, then plastic cases would also run a lot hotter than aluminum cases, and with all the new gaming type cases running so many fans, and a lot of them made of plastic they still produce very good temps.

I was talking about the memory fan, not the case fans. The case fans I can order and stick in myself. For their memory fan, I think they use the kingston and paint it white for the protus.

Please more input about the noise package. I really want the computer to be silent.
