This is my 2nd purchase from DS.

Last rig from May 2016 still going strong, but it is starting to show its age.

I can guess what will be the first thing our friend Cretae will bring up... if you're just gaming you really don't need 64GB RAM... You can get it if you WANT it, but it's not NEEDED for gaming.

It's not just not needed for gaming, but games CAN'T use it. The extra 32GB will be idle all the time, pouring heat into youir chassis, and totally wasting your investment. 32 Gb isn't needed either, but it will future-proof you for the life of this system.

The CPU is also a waste, there is no game made that can access and use all the extra cores and threads the top procs come with now. The "right" choice is the i5 13600KF. The new hybrid design of this chip will game on for years without a hiccup. The 13600KF is actually FASTER for gaming than the last gen top proc, the 12900K!

I'll show you a comparison that emphasizes the usefulness of a CPU for gaming:

That meager 7% is gonna cost you $504 for a tiny bump you'll never even know is there. That's because the times it actually kicks in for you are so few and far between, you'd never see it. The framerates you want from a monster system come from the monster GPU you're getting.

There are no games that can stress all the cores/threads in a 13600KF, and they're not planning any. Don't waste your money on the RAM or the CPU, and you're good. Cutting edge gaming for years.
