you don't want the 5970, there are better solutions, are you ever gonna tell us what res you plan to run so we can help you? for a 5970 you will want the dual gpu LC. but again its not worth it.

for 1900 x 1200 go with 1 x 5870

for 2560 x 1600 go with 2 x 5870

2 x 5870 will do better then 1 x 5970 and future-wise, 3 x 5870 is does much better then 2 x 5970.
