First off I can't decide which is better the Ultra or Extreme case or if the pro is good enough.  I might run SLI later (Two 8800 GT's).  They are both the same price from what I can tell.  I start to get a little nervous after the $2100 mark, so going with the  pro seems like a reasonble place to cut price here.

Whats the difference between the 800mhz Dominator and the 800mhz XMS2?  I'm looking at getting 4 gigs of which ever is better heh.

Is the Twisterboost overclock on a Q6600 worth it?   More so how much faster is it on an average with the Twisterboost.

Is Raid 0 Stripe worth it?  Is their more of a chance of the HDD's crashing?

Is there a new Mobo comming out anytime soon? Also I read somewere that a new version of the 640MB 8800 comming out soon?

Thanks in advance!

Both Ultra and Extreme are great cases. The Ultra case attracts dust faster...

Yes there is more chance of HDDs failing since you have two instead of one...

Yes overclocking the Q6600 is worth it, on average it's a 19% increase.

Nvidia 780i is releasing on November 12th...

Rumor has it that revised 8800 GTS 640MB is coming out before the end of this year. The 640MB 90NM expected to release Nov 12th and 512MB / 1GB 65NM version is expected for December 3rd.

Which would be better going Extreme Case and getting 800mhtz Dominator ram (4gigs) OR 4 gigs of the 1066mhtz Dominator ram and the Pro case? Either combination is about the same (right around $2500)

looks like the 780i isnt really anything new from what I can tell besides Tri-sli.(lot of extra heat 3 gfx cards heh).

The "New" rumored 8800 GTS 640MB would be nice.

I think I will forget about the Raid 0 Stripe, heh.

The only thing beneficial for raid nowadays is to raid0 2 or more 150 Raptors.  But even then is a big 'if'.

I would go with the 1066 and ultra

just so I understand this better: why is there a bigger risk of hard drive failures if you go with raid 0?
Processor: QX6850 (3.3Ghz)
RAM: 4GB 1066 Dominators
Graphics: 2x 8800GTX 768MB
Sound Card: Fatal1ty
HDD 1: 2x 150GB raptor (RAID 0)
HDD 2: 1x 150GB raptor
HDD 3: 320GB western
Liquid cooling (red)

Because there are 2 drives.

If one HDD had a 5% chance of failing and you add a second one that also has a 5% chance of failing. That gives you 10% chance of failure...

In RAID 0, if one HDD fails, your system fails.

And for the 780i, it also comes with PCI-E 2.0 which would be good for SLI.

PCI-E 2.0 sounds nice though, I will wait till PCI-E 3.0 hits before I get a new motherboard.

Wouldn't it still be 5% chance of failure. Having 2 would be 5% for each, not 10% each? Confused

What will be so different about the 512 65nm compared to the 8800GT?
