This is really for DST4ME but any of you that know what I'm asking feel free, I'll take any advice I can get.
My rig runs 2 128GB Corsair SSD's in Raid0, I've had constant problems with my system since I unpacked it and set it up. For the full details please go to the, well this is the thread: http://www.digitalstormonline.com/forums/forum_posts.asp?TID=9197&PID=104910#104910
What I want to know is some of you veterans recommend against Raid0. Why? Seeing how my system locks up when not under load, could it be Raid0 causing the problem. I've been working with tech support on this and will be chatting with them again on Tuesday as I'm busy tomorrow, just wanted to know what you think.
TIA

I like to keep the trouble shooting to DS cause its their warranty and they are gonna ask you to run some tests anyways, and to be honest there could be a few reasons for why you are having those problems, but best thing to do is talk to DS.
as for raid, I don't like it cause if the raid goes bad you lose all your data. |

Ok, thanks. Yeah, I just get impatient when things go wrong. This is the first PC I've ever had that I didn't build and it's also the most complex & expensive. Tech support is on the ball though, we've just been too busy with my wifes doctor appts for them to help me much.
Speaking of drives failing, if you clone a Raid0 setup & one drive fails can you load the clone onto the other drive and have it work right? I got the Thermaltake eSata drive bay so I can swap drives, so far it's awesome. I have to get 2 new drives for the backups though as all I have right now is one 1TB WD drive.

you can clone to a single drive, but you need to restore to a raid setup otherwise it won't boot.
