Can you mix different types of RAM/Memory
in which they have the difference in Brands, MHZ, etc...

2GB DDR2 Corsair at 800MHz XMS2 (1X2GB)

OR
2GB DDR2 Corsair at 800MHz Dominator DHX (High-Performance) (2x1GB)

what are the advantages and disadvantages?
and is there any link/website that containes any information
I/we should know about.AngryStar

for best results, you want to match your ram speed.

I find for best results its best to use one company for all sticks.

so that means you can use different brand of RAM, as long as you will stick with the similar RAM speed. that won't hurt the systems performance?, it will still have the same performance as the RAM with similar speed and company?

ram is ram, aslong as they have the same specs, speed, latency, etc, then its fine.

but again I would recommend going with the same company for all sticks.
