Ok here it is.. If I remove the heat spreaders from the top of my corsair vengence ram to fit under my Noctua d14, will the ram get to hot? Im not sure if these things are just for looks or what. Currently using the xms3 ram but I have this other stuff sitting here collecting dust.

To be honest, you should be perfectly fine as long as you are not running the memory at aggressive timings or with higher than 1.65v of juice.
You can always give it a try and see how your system runs. If you run into stability/performance issues, then you know what caused it. |
