I replaced my h115i water cooler with a noctura dh15s. when I went to reboot could not even get to bios. Reset bios (removing battery, no joy). Finally realized that the yellow light on the mother board meant could not detect ram (8 gig in slot 2 and 4)

> Tried to boot with just slot 2 installed- no good
> Tried to boot with just slot 4 installed- Good- posted to windows
> Moved working ram to slot 1 or 2= not getting to bios

Is it possible that I shorted out the first two banks of ram (if that's even possible)during my cooler swap? I cleaned the slots etc...and no avail. I now have dead 8mb bank and two slots not working at all.
Is there something I am missing with the ram setup?

Im ok with running with a bank of 8 (will upgrade to 16 at some point I guess). ill upgrade the MB in due time if this is the issue.

On a side note- Noctua fans rock- knocked 20c off my core temps!

AwesomeThose Noctuas DH-15s are great. Too bad DS will not offer them anymore. Made a system with one and never seen temps above 46C during heavy (hours) gaming. They are huge though. Big%20Smile
