well I checked BIOS  it was set at1333   so left it  and exited out of Bios  ans  when it restarted it showed the to be 1066   and them locked up     and would not reboot   let it set for about 5 mins  and now it it still showing it to be 1066 ram and now showing the CPU to not be overclocked  showing it to be 2,92

how do you get it back to where its supposed to be?

can you give me a screenshot of your cpu-z.

you have speed step on so your cpu will only go full speed when needed, otherwise it will rest.

can you put your pc underload and see if the numbers change for the ram? cause it looks like its set to 1066 right now, but I'm not good with the x58 mobo yet.

DS had it set at 1333 when I checked  and it has 1600  so dont know why they did that   and when I exited out and it went to reload  it stopped at the ram screen  showing 1066 and froze up    did not want to boot back up  had to let it set for a bit  when it finally did it was still showing 1066

I think for what ever reason your bios went back to default settings, they will reset everything for you, next time save the a bios profile with the OC so all you have to do is enable that profile and all OC settings are back.

I do want to say that, the BIOS does show the memory speeds incorrectly. You need to use a program such as CPU-Z to get the real memory clock rate.

The reason why is, the motherboards use memory dividers, and the BIOS speed isn't the actual speed after applying all FSB/Multipliers.

Warm Regards,
Alex
