I'm looking to upgrade my memory, however I'd like to buy memory cards that are the same or similar cards to the cards I have in my PC currently. I just don't know what cards are used because they are DS branded. I was wondering if anyone knew what cards I have in my PC or know of any good quality cards that are compatible with my motherboard.
I'll give you guys all my specs just in case you need them My computer is the Vanquish 7 LVL 3 (this pc is no longer available with these specs last time i checked) Processor: I5 8600K 3.60GHz Motherboard: ASUS / MSI Intel Z370 Chipset System Memory: 8GB DDR4 3000MHz "Digital Storm Performance Series" Power Supply: 600W Digital Storm Performance Series Graphics Card: GeForce GTX 1070 8GB This was all taken from the receipt I received upon purchase, if you have any questions please let me know Thanks! |

Your Z370 motherboard should currently have 2 sticks of 4 GB DS DDR4 3000mhz RAM... and 2 open slots I’m guessing. You could just ask DS to sell you 2 more 4 GB sticks of the same DDR4 3000mhz RAM and that would be 16 GB total with all 4 slots filled.....all you could need for gaming.

This is correct. I have 2 4gb sticks with 2 slots open. I would like to purchase 1 8gb stick, do you have any recommendations for this motherboard?

IIRC adding one stick is not possible. RAM needs to be added/installed in pairs. If you have two slots open and you need to add 8Gb you're going to have to get 2x4Gb..
If I'm wrong I hope one of The Smart Guys® will come along and set us straight.

That is correct. You will need to add a pair of 4 GB RAM sticks.
Just call DS, provide your DS order number, and tell them you are interested in buying another matching pair of 4 GB RAM sticks.
