Your motherboard has two DIMM slots so you need to purchase a kit with two 8 GB sticks. RAM performance is like CPU and GPU in that the chips follow the silicon lottery.

If you have an RGB/bling set up, you are going to want to look for RGB enabled RAM. Otherwise, you are going to want to look at cost. Once you have decided the type of RAM to buy (e.g., non-RGB; 2 x 8 GB sticks), you want to look at RAM speed (first MHz; second timings).

Here is a good link with info:

https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/memory-buying-guide,6347.html

If all you need to do is game, and do not need to overclock RAM speed, lower speed may be recommended (e.g., 3000 MHz). I have 3200 MHz sticks. I can slightly overclock the speed to 3333 MHz. I have a Ryzen CPU which performs better with higher memory clock speeds. I could certainly upgrade my RAM later on to 3600 MHz sticks. Not clear though if that increase in performance justifies the cost.

IIRC, the Lynx 2 mobo is capped at 2666 MHz DDR4 RAM. Be sure to check the manual that came with your mobo; go online for the brand of mobo you have; or check with DS to be sure. This is not that much of a limiter on performance for you. If you go to the mobo website it may have a list of RAM they recommend for best results.
