Hello everyone. I just joined this forum. Been trying to build a creative build, so I can us Photoshop, Premier, Encore, and do some light gaming. I primarily play MUDS and games like Kings Quest 1, from Sierra. Occasionally i play B5F.

I am on the fence getting a imac 2020 or the Mac Pro, but I have always been a Windows Guy. I am a tech journalist and live in Canada. Due to the exchange rate and shipping, this build will be around $7500 with shipping, not sure if this shipping fee also includes duty or not, does anyone outside of the US know?

Anyways, let me know what you think about the build. I want it to last around 6 years and yes, I know the 3080s are out soon, should I wait or just pull the trigger now?

My current PC is a 5900k nvidia 1070 and 32GB of RAM. Boot is a 1TB SSD, older, i built the pc in like 2014, but upgraded the card myself.

I read the 3070 is stronger than the 2080 Ti. Does that answer the question?

Since more cores is bound to be of more benefit to you than anything else, did you consider a Threadripper?

Hi Kozmonaut, did you end up pulling the trigger on this and getting it shipped to Canada? If you did, how was your experience and the associated shipping, duty and taxes?

Thanks.
