I am ready to buy very soon. Just having to convince myself...Any comments/suggestions on my latest configuration are welcome. Looking for a fast system to do internet, database, some gaming, video editing, mostly all general stuff. Just like fast, quite as possible, solid configuration and a quality build!

Hi cusafr... I think you had another post going a while back, so I'm not gonna mention the case and stuff. I think we covered it, plus with little gaming, heat dissipation might not be a big problem. You could ask DS to add an exhaust fan to the top where heat likes to hang-out.
You mentioned very little gaming, just MS Office, surfing, etc. on a 24" monitor.. Change the 2700k cpu to 2600K. The 2700k does nothing. If you have no need for sli, 2 gpu, then change 1050HX psu to 750HX. All you'll need. If you want sli in the future than keep it. Ram I'll leave alone, I think you mentioned a little video editing. The D14 cooler is out of stock until mid-March. The Phantek TC14 replaces it and is about the same size and performance. Everything else looks great. Edited by bprat22 - 01 Mar 2012 at 8:33am |
