Ok heres my question. Ive heard that you will be limited to to DDR1333 or possibly DDR1600, depending on how well your motherboard and CPU can overclock. This is due to limitations of the memory controller on your CPU when populating all 6 slots on the motherboard. I just recently bought a computer from DS and I have 6 gigs of 2000mhz memory. Now I wanted to buy 6 more gigs of 2000mhz memory to install. so my question is if I buy the 6 gigs of memory and install it. will the 12 gigs of memory I would now have be runing at 1333 or 1600mhz instead of the 2000mhz it would be runing at if i just had 6 gigs. and would it be worth it to install another 6 gigs. plus if i do install the extra 6 gigs will it automatically start runing at 1600mhz or need bios tweaking. Here is my computers spec if it will help you.

im pretty sure you cant run 2000mhz ram with all the memory DIMS populated
unless your using some crazy huge program, or multiple huge programs, you wont ever need more than 6gigs
it would be a waste buying another set of 2000mhz ram, when you couldnt run it at 2kmhz

I would suggest 12GB of 1866MHz (Muskin Preferred) if you want 4GHz+.  Reason is there is no memory divider for 2000MHz RAM, so the bus clock has to be changed from the stock 133MHz to 144MHz (2:14 Ratio) to get the RAM speed to 2000MHz.

There is a memory divider for 1866MHz, so all that needs to be changed is the CPU multiplier, and you will easily get 4-4.2GHz.

Or if you absolutely want the 2000MHz, get only 6GB.

Why not have DS overclock a 920 to 4~4.2ghz?
Same preformance and you end up saving $$ 1000 $$
