So I just got one of those Samsung 28" 4k monitors that can push 60Hz through DisplayPort, so now I'm wondering about a rebuild using parts from my Bolt. I've built my own rig before, but it's probably been 7 or 8 years now and bought the Bolt last April.

Unfortunately the Bolt won't fit a second Titan, so I'm wondering what I would need to upgrade to from a case and Mobo perspective to be able to fit the second GPU. List of current parts are below, would love any feedback.

Also, if this is a service DigitalStorm provides I'd love to know about it. :)

Processor: Intel Core i7 3770K 3.50 GHz (Unlocked CPU) (Quad Core)
Motherboard: ASUS P8Z77-I Deluxe (Intel Z77 Chipset)
System Memory: 16GB DDR3 1600MHz Digital Storm Certified Performance Series (Highly Recommended) (Hand Tested)
Power Supply: 500W Gold Plus Series Digital Storm Certified BOLT Edition (Enhanced Quiet Operation)
Hard Drive Set 1: Operating System: 1x (256GB Solid State (By: Samsung) (Model: 840 Pro Series)
Hard Drive Set 2: Multimedia\Data: 1x (3TB Western Digital/Seagate/Hitachi/
Samsung (7200 RPM) (SATA 6Gbps)
Optical Drive 1: Blu-Ray Player (Blu-Ray 6x) & DVD/CD Writer
Internet Access: High Speed Network Port (Supports High-Speed Cable / DSL / Network Connections)
Video Card(s): 1x NVIDIA GeForce GTX TITAN 6GB (Includes PhysX)
Sound Card: Integrated Motherboard Audio
Extreme Cooling: High Performance Cooler with Five Heatpipes
Chassis Airflow: Standard Factory Chassis Fans
CPU Boost: Stage 2: Overclock CPU 4.5GHz to 4.8GHz

Is there a case and motherboard I could grab, and just use the rest of this stuff as is? Secondary concern is whether I need a bigger power supply, thinking 2 Titans will tax that 500W unit.

Any help appreciated.

This will be a good starting resource for you:http://www.anandtech.com/show/7981/best-video-cards-april-2014.

Samsung makes lots of monitors, if you could give the native resolution of the one you bought, that would be helpful in giving you advice.

The monitor is Samsung U28D590D, and I don't need help with the gpu, I already know I want to add a second Titan for SLI to support the 4k resolutions.

What I need help with is which motherboard and case would be best to utilize the other parts in my existing bolt rig (parts listed above). Also curious about power supply needs but I can go research that and do the math to determine whether I need to upgrade it also.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Hi PawisBetlog..... To move from the Titan Bolt to a sli Titan you can use pretty much any mid to full size case. The ODE Corsair 600T case gives a lot of room to play in. The Air 540, 730T , 230T all work.

For a sli motherboard, any sli mobo with lga 1155 pin count for the cpu will work. The Z77 Sabertooth is a quality mobo. Not sure the available of Z77, but it is getting tougher I believe.

The psu should be in the 1000 watt range and the Corsair 1050Hx is a real nice unit.

Hope this helps and good luck. Big%20Smile
